High capacity trays have become an attractive revamp option for
many distillation services. However, while they are useful they
are more difficult to use than conventional tray or packing designs.
Errors are more common because their critical design, fabrication,
and installation criteria are less known to the industry. Case
studies of two common problems are shown.
